RESOLUTION NO. 5485
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
3 AGREEMENT WITH ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DOVER DRIVE STORK DRAIN

5 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach and the County of
6 Orange have heretofore entered into a certain agreement for the
7 improvement of Dover Drive from Pacific Coast Highway to Sevent
8 Street in accordance with Orange County's Arterial Highway Financing
9 Program; and
10 WHEREAS, there has now been presented to the City Council
11 a certain agreement between the City and the Orange County Flood
12 Control District for the construction of an underground drainage
13 system from Newport Bay to Dover Drive and within Dover Drive to
14 16th Street, which it is deemed mutually advantageous to accomplish
15 concurrently with said improvement of Dover Drive; and
16 WHEREAS, said proposed agreement has been reviewed and
17 found to be fair and equitable and it is in the interest of the
18 City to execute the same;
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
20 the City of Newport Beach that said agreement be approved and the
21 Mayor and City Cleric are authorized and directed to execute the
22 same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
