RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A GRANT OF EASEMENT
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company, a West Virginia corporation,
has executed a grant of easement granting to the City of Newport
Beach an easement for street and highway purposes over the following -
described real property in the City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of'California, to wit-
All that portion of Lot 3 as shown on a map of Tract No.
1125 recorded in Book 39, pages 7 and 8, Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County,,California, described
as follows:
Parcel No. 1
A strip of land sixty (6,0) feet in width, lying:thirty (30)
feet on each side of and adjoining the following described-
line:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Sixteenth Street
as shown on a map of said tract, said point being the north-
westerly terminus of a curve, concave southwesterly and
having a radius of'600.00 feet, a central angle of 75° 39'
35 , and an arc length of 792.31 feet; thence, S. 50° 16'
05" E., along a line tangent to said curve, 159.13 feet to
a tangent curve, concave northeasterly and having a radius
of 1200.00 feet; thence, southeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 14° 20' 25 ", an arc distance of
300.34 feet to the center line of Seventeenth Street (now
known as'Dover Drive) as shown on a map.•of said tract.
Parcel No. 2
Beginning at the intersection of the southwesterly line of
the above described sixty (0.0).foot strip, said southwesterly
line being a curve, concave northeasterly and having -a radius
of 1230.00'feet, with the northwesterly line of Seventeenth
Street (now known as Dover Drive) eighty (80) feet in width,.
as shown on a map of said tract, a radial.of said curve to
said point.bears S. 270 15' 19" W:; thence, S. 250 23' 30"
W., along said northwesterly line 23.97 feet to a tangent
curve, concave southwesterly and having a radius of 25.00
feet; thence, northwesterl.7 -along said curve through a
central angle of.87 °.O1' 52', an arc distance of 37.97 feet
to a point in said curve, concave northeasterly and having
a radius of 1230.00 feet; a radial:to said point bears
S. 28° 21' :38" W.;. thence, southeasterly along.last'said .
curve through a central angle of 1° 06' 1911, an arc distance
of 23.73 feet to the point of beginning: -
Parcel No. 3
Beginning at the intersection of the northeasterly line of
the above described sixty (60) foot strip, said northeasterly
line being a curve, concave northeasterly and having a radius
of 1170.00 feet, with the northwesterly line of Seventeenth
Street (now known as Dover Drive,) eighty (80) feet in width
as shown on a map of said tract, a radial . of -said curve to
said point: bears S. 27° 21' 04" W.; thence, N. 25° 231,3011
E., along said northwesterly line 26.16.feet to a tangent
curve, concave northerly and having a radius of 25.00 feet;
thence, southwesterly along said curve through a central angle
of 93° 15' 1611, an arc distance of 40.69 feet to a point in
• said curve, concave northeasterly and having a radius of
1170.00 feet, a radial to said point bears S. 28° 38' 46"
W.; thence, southeasterly along last said curve through a
central angle of 10 17' 42 ", an arc distance of 26.44 feet
to the point of beginning;
and
WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City to accept said
grant of easement for such purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT IESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach that said grant of easement be accepted and
the City Clerk is authorized and directed to execute and attach a
-certificate of acceptance and consent to the recording of said
grant of easement in the County Recorder's office.
