RESOLUTION NO. 5519
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE IMPROVE-
MENT OF DOVER DRIVE BETWEEN COAST HIGHWAY AND
WESTCLIFF DRIVE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
consisting of the improvement of Dover Drive between Coast Highway
and Westcliff Drive in the City of Newport Beach, in accordance
with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were
received on the 22nd day of November, 1961, and publicly opened
and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Sully Miller Contracting Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, subject to the
Board of Supervisors approving a contribution of $48,000 to the
project from County Highway Funds, the bid of Sully- Miller
Contracting Company in the amount of $236,745.75 be accepted
and that the contract for the construction work be awarded to said
bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, subject to County approval
as above, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a contract in accordance with the specifica-
tions, bid and this award on behalf of the City of Newport Beach,
and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish an executed copy
to the successful bidder.

said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on

vote, to wit:
