RESOLUTION NO. 5520
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL Or THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH - AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AMENDMENT TO LICENSE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach and Newport - Costa
Mesa Broadcasting, Inc., entered into a license agreement dated
the bath day of February, 1961, whereby the City granted to the
licensee permission to construct and maintain a radio transmitter
with a building to house the same and a radio tower on certain
City- ot,aned land on the south side of 16th Street westerly of
Monrovia Avenue in the City of Newport Beach; and
I- RHEREAS, since said agreement was entered a City -owned
building has been moved onto the City's reservoir site at that
location which would be suitable for use by Licensee; and
AREAS, it appears that it would be to the mutual
tage of the parties to amend said license agreement with respect
to the use of said building ; and
WHEREAS, such an amendment to said license agreement has
been presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
the City Council has considered the terms and conditions thereof
and found them to be fair and equitable;
NOW, TIiERLFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said amendment to
license agreement be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized a-Lad directed to execute the same on behalf of
City of Newport Beach.
