A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
CONTRACT WITH THE IRVINE COMPANY FOR THE INSTALLA-
TION OF WATER LINE
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company is the owner of land in the
City of Newport Beach westerly of Jamboree Road and northwesterly
of the intersection.of Jamboree Road and Ford Road and is contem-
plating the development thereof; and
WHEREAS, in connection with such prospective development,
The Irvine Company is in need of a water supply on said land; and
WHEREAS, a contract has been prepared under which an
l&-inch water line will be constructed across said land and be
connected to the City's water line at Ford Road and Jamboree Road,
with the cost thereof to be shared by said company and the City
in the manner set out in said contract; and
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the terms of said
contract and found them to be fair and to the mutual advantage of
the parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
