2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING AND SUBMITTING A BUDGET
3 FOR EXPENDITURE.OF'FUNDS ALLOCATED FROM THE STATE
HIGHWAY FUND TO CITIES

5 WHEREAS, a master agreement has been executed by the City
6 and the State of California on March 27, 1961, for expenditure of
7 funds allocated from the State highway fund to cities; and
8 WHEREAS, the City Council has prepared a project statement
9 showing estimated expenditures of such funds recommended to be made
10 during the 1961 - 62 fiscal year; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council has heard read said project
12 statement and is familiar with the contents thereof;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
14 City of Newport Beach that said project statement-be and it is
15 hereby approved and adopted as the budget of proposed expenditures
16 of the gas tax allocation to cities, and the Public Works Director
17 is directed to sign the same on behalf of said City and submit it
18 to the Department of Public Works,State of California, in accordance
19 with the provisions of Section 197 of the Streets and Highways Code.
