RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COU14GIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A PROPOSED
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION SUBMITTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL"
OF TILE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING
CONSENT TO T1Z INCLUSION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY WITHIN
THE BOUNDARIES OF THE.CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH PROPOSED
TO BE ASSESSED FOR THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF CERTAIN
IMPROVEMENTS,. AND GRANTING CONSENT TO THE WORK PROPOSED
TO BE DONE WITHIN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AS
DESCRIBED IN SAID PROPOSED RESOLUTION OF INTENTION,
PURSUANT-TO THE MONROVIA AVENUE IM9PROVEMENT DISTRICT.
On motion by Councilman Hart, duly seconded and carried,
the following resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa,
California, has submitted to this City Council a proposed Resolutior
of Intention for the acquisition and improvement of Monrovia Avenue
and certain other streets, alleys and easements, all in accordance
with the plans and specifications and map of said Assessment Dis-
trict referred to in Resolution of Intention proposed to be adopted
by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa for said acquisition
and improvements; and
WHEREAS, the.public interest, convenience and necessity
require the accomplishment of the aforesaid improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa has
duly determined that the acquisition and improvements to be accom-
plished would benefit the properties situated in the City of Newport
Beach described in the said proposed Resolution of Intention and for
that reason have included within the proposed district the proper-
ties situated in the City of Newport Beach which will thereby be
benefited, and have proposed to do certain work within the City of
Newport Beach which will be of benefit to said properties;
:SOW, THEREFOR:, B: IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
liCity of Newport Beach that said proposed Resolution of Intention is
hereby approved and consent is hereby granted to said City of Costa
114esa to the inclusion in the proposed district of the properties

situated in the City of dewport Beach as described in the proposed

Resolution of Intention, and to the assumption of full jurisdiction

in the premises by said City of Costa Mesa for the purpose of
4
accomplishing said improvements as provided in Division 7, Streets
5
and highways Code of the State of California, particularly Section
6
5117 thereof.

BE IT FURTLHER RESOLVEID.by the City Council of the City of
8
Newport Beach that consent is hereby granted to said City of Costa
9
Mesa to the proposed work to be done within the City of Newport
10
Beach as described in the.proposed Resolution of Intention.
