RESOLUTION NO. 5574
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH_AWARDING.A CONTRACT FOR -SEWER
REPAPS
LMENT.,FOR BALBOA (PENINSULA AND.OLD NEWPORT
5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
6 consisting of sewer replacement for Balboa Peninsula and Old Newpo
7 in the City of Newport Beach, in accordance with the plans and
8 specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 5th
9 day of April, 1962, and publicly opened and declared; and
10 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
11 therefor is JAMES I. GALLACHER;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of James I.
13 Gallacher for Schedules A. B. and C in the amount of $148,412.15
14 be accepted and that the contract for the construction work be
15 awarded to said bidder.
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
17 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
18 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
19 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
20 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
