RESOLUTION NO. 5581
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE MASTER LAND USE PLAN
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
Beach has recommended amendments to the Master Land Use Plan of
the City of Newport Beach, as shown on a map entitled "Master Land
• Use Plan, City of Newport Beach, California ", dated April 5, 1962;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after notice as required by
law, has held a hearing on said proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to amend such Master Land Use
Plan by adopting an integrated development plan of land use for
the area located on the east side of the Back Bay that is being
annexed to the City; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to reclassify the area on the
easterly side of the Upper Bay between the Upper Bay and Jamboree
Road, bounded on the north by Big Canyon, on the south by Pacific
Coast Highway, and on the west by Harry Welch Memorial Park, as a
C -0 District; and
WHEREAS, it is- desirable to reclassify the area between
Jamboree Road and MacArthur Boulevard, bounded on the north by
Ford Road and on the south by Pacific Coast Highway, into areas
of Cm0 District, R -3 District, and C °1 District as shown on the
map attached hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach does adopt said amendments to the Master
Land Use Plan as shown on the map attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized and directed to sign said amended Master Land Use Plan
map to show that it has been adopted by the City Council, and that
the same be placed on file with the Master Plan of the City of
• Newport.Beach.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of April , 1962.
