2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING AN ALLOWANCE OF.FIFTY
3 DOLLARS PER.MONTH TO-THE .MAYOR_IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SECTION 404 OF THE CHARTER

5 WHEREAS, Section 404 of the Charter provides that the
6 City Council may provide by resolution for the payment to the
7 Mayor of an allowance not exceeding $50.00 per month in addition
8 to the payment authorized for expenses in Section 402 to reimburse
9 him for the additional demands made upon him and expenses incurred
10 by him in serving as Mayor; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of allowing such
12 payment to the Mayor;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
14 the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor of said City be allowed
15 said sum of $50.00 per month during his term as Mayor to reimburse
16 him for the additional demands made upon him and expenses incurred
17 by him in serving as Mayor.

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution Noe 5583 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 23rd day of April , 1.962 by the following
vote, to wit:
