RESOLUTION NO. 560L
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH EXPRESSING POLICY ON ACQUISITION
OFWATER STORAGE FOR COASTAL MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT .
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has provided suffic
water storage capacity for its ultimate development within Coastal
Municipal Water District; and
WHEREAS, no additional storage is needed within Coastal
Municipal Water District to serve the present and prospective
residents of the City of Newport Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, if the Board of
Directors of Coastal Municipal Water District determines that
additional storage would be of benefit to the entire area of said
district and leases storage capacity in the Irvine Reservoir, an
agreement should be prepared for the approval of the City of New-
port Beach assuring that the leased capacity will be made available
to the retail water agencies within Coastal Municipal Water Distric
in proportion to the amount paid for said leased capacity by the
residents within the service area or the water users of each such
agency.
ADOPTED at an adjourned regular meeting this 4th day of
June, 1962.
