RESOLUTION NO. 5630
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EIC- CUTION OF A
CONTRACT WITH THE IRVINE COMPANY FOR THE CON-
STRUCTION OF A WATER LINE IN THE UPPER BAY LOOP
TPMREAS, the City of Newport Beach intends to construct
a water line as an extension of its Upper Bay Loop northerly along
Irvine Avenue and Tustin Avenue which would serene an area of land
within the City of approximately 214 acres, approximately 146 acres
of which are owned by The Irvine Company; and
WHEREAS, a contract has been prepared under which said
water line and appurtenances will be constructed, with the cost
thereof to be shared by said company and the City in the manner
set out therein; and
%JHEREAS, the City Council has examined the terms of said
contract and found them to be fair and to the mutual advantage of
the parties;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 25th day of June, 1962.
