A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING A PORTION
OF A CERTAIN STREET KNOM AS DOVER DRIVE WHICH IS
PROPOSED TO BE VACATED, CLOSED UP AND ABANDONED
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport Beach
has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a
certain map entitled "Proposed Abandonment of Dover Drive Adjoining
Lot 147, Tract No. 1218, Newport Beach, Calif. ", designated ,bob No.
7452, dated Dec. 27, 1961, shoeing a portion of said Dover Drive in
the City of Newport Beach which the City is considering vacating,
closing up and abandoning and which portion is more particularly
described as follows:
A portion of 17th Street (now known as Dover Drive)
adjoining Lot 147, in Tract No. 1218, as shown on a
map thereof, recorded in Book 37, pages 47, 48 and 49
of Miscellaneous Rasps, records of Orange County,
California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northerly corner of said Lot 147;
thence South 79° 29' 26P° East 15.56 feet to a point in
a curve, concave Easterly and.having a radius of 350.00
feet, said point being North 79° 29 2611 West, 50.00
feet from the Westerly line of that certain 50.00 foot
strip of land, as described in deed to the City of
Newport Beach, recorded November 7, 1961 in Book 5905,
page 276 of Official Records of said County, a radial
line from said point bears South 79° 29' 26�Q East;
thence Southerly along said curve through an angle of
22° 31' 10t0, a distance of 334.08 feet to the beginning
of a tangent curve, concave Northwesterly and having a
radius of 30.00 feet, said beginning of tangent curve
being South 770 59' 2411 west, 50.00 feet from said
Westerly line of 50,00-foot strip; thence Southerly
and Southwesterly along said curve through an angle of
97° 13' 06°03 a distance of 50.90 feet to a line tangent,
said line tangent being the Easterly prolongation of
the Southerly line of said Lot 147; thence South 85°
12' 30)" West along said line tangent, a distance of
9.82 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave
Northwesterly and having a radius of 30.00 feet, said
beginning of tangent curve being in the Southerly line
of said Lot 147; thence Northeasterly and Northerly
along said curve and along the Easterly line of said
Lot 147 through an angle of 101° 53' 35", a distance
of 53.35 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave Easterly, and having a radius of 640.00 feet;
thence Northerly and Northeasterly along said curve,
and along the Easterly,, line of said Lot 147 through
an angle of 300 Il' 15 , a distance of 337.20 feet to
the point of beginning.

the foregoing Resolution No, 5644 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 23rd day of July 19 62 , by the following
