"r 97 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DEPORT BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP, VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET KNIMIN AS 16TH STREET The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street. Vacation Act of 194140, and all amendments thereto, being Sections 8300 to 8331, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve and declare as follows: SECTION 1. The public interest and convenience require the closing up and abandonment of a portion of a certain street known as 16th Street in the City of Newport Beach, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to order the following described portion of said street in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, to be vacated, closed up and abandoned, to wit: All that portion of Sixteenth Street, sixty (60) feet in width, as shown on a map of Tract No. 1125 recorded in Boole 39, pages 7 and 8, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, lying northwesterly of a line that is parallel with and 4 .00 feet northwest- erly from the center line of Seventeenth Street (now know- as Doves Drive) as shown on said map and lying southwest - erl of the southwesterly line of a strip of land, sixty (60� feet in width, lying thirty (30) feet on each side of and adjoining the following described lime: Beginning at a point in the center line of Sixteenth Street as shown on said map, said point being the northwesterly terminus of a curve, concave southwesterly and having a radius of 600.00 feet, a central angle of 75° 39' 35" and an arc length of 792.31 feet; thence, S. 500 16' -6504 E., along aline. tangent to said curve, 159.13 feet to a tangent curve, concave northeasterly and having a radius of 1200 feet; thence, southeasterly along said curve to said center line of Dover Drive. All that portion of said street to be vacated, closed up and abandoned is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach for said vacation, closing up and abandonment, by resolution dated • � d 4P1 a .3 , 1962, amid designated "Resolution No.-5-4j& 2 w ich said map is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the 3 City of Newport Beach. Reference is hereby made to said map for 4 further particulars as to the proposed vacation., closing up and 5 abandonment of said portion of said street, and said map is made a 6 part of this resolution by this reference to the same extent and 7 purpose as if it were incorporated herein in full. 8 SECTION 2. The proceedings for the closing up and abann- 9 donment of the aforesaid portion, of said street shall be had and 10 taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby 11 elects to proceed under the provisions of the °'Street Vacation Act 12 of 1941 ", and all amendments thereto, being Sections 8300 to 8331, 13 inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali- 14 fornia. 15 SRCTI ®N 3. The Street Superintendent of the City of 16 Newport Beach shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the 17 line of the portion of said street proposed to be vacated not more 18 than 300 feet apart, but not less than three in all, notices of 19 the vacations of said portion of said street. Said notices shall 20 state the passage of this Resolution of Intention and the time and 21 place of the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to 22 the proposed vacation of said portion of said street. Said 23 notices shall be so posted at least ten days before the date of 24 said hearing, all as required by law. 25 SECTION 4. These vacation proceedings are taken subject to the reservations and exceptions herein contained. SZCTICN 5. Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby fix Monday, the 17:§� day of , 1962, at the hour of 7030 o °clock.P. M. of said day, in the Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach, located in the City mall of the City of Newport Beach, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street, and the City Council at said time and place will hear the evidence offered by any person interested in the vacations of said portions of said street heraiia- before described. SECTION 6. This Resolution of Intention shall be published at least once in the official :newspaper of the City, and said publication shall be made before the date set for the hearing of all personas interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
