2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIME CITY
OF NEWFORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A PROCEDURE. FOR
3 EXPENDITURES FOR COMMUNITY PROMOTION

5 6ME.'A S, the budget contains an item entitled 9°Community
6 Promotion00; and
7 :AREAS, the expenditure for the purpose of community
8 promotion is a matter of interest to the City Council in estab -
9 lishing the policies of the City; and
10 Wr1EREAS, in order to set policy with respect thereto it
11 is necessary that the City Council authorize expenditures from
12 that fund where the amount of such expenditure exceeds $250;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that for the fiscal year
14 1962 -1963 no single expenditure from the Community Promotion Fund
15 exceeding the amount of $250 shall be made without specific
16 approval of the City Council expressed by motion.
17 ADOPTED this 27th day of August, 1962.
