2 A P.ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NMYPORT BEACH AUTHORMZING THE REPLACEMENT OF
3 STREET LIGHT STANDARDS ON BALBOA BOULEVARD BY
CITY E1APLOY%ES

5 WHEREAS, 30 street light standards on Balboa Boulevard
6 between "A" and "GP9 Streets in the City are in the need of replace-
7 ment; and
8 WHEREAS, it,is necessary that the work be completed as
9 quickly and efficiently as,possible; and
10 MAEREAS, it appears that the total expenditure therefor
11 will exceed the sum of $3,000; and
12 WER%AS, based.upon estimates.approved by the City
13 Manager, it appears that the work in question can be performed and
14 completed more economically by the City with its own employees;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
16 declare and determine that in its opinion, based upon estimates
17 approved by the City Manager, the construction work consisting of
18 replacing 30 street light standards with 15 new standards may be
19 performed more economically by the City with its own employees.
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works
21 is authorized and directed to proceed with and complete said work
22 consisting of the replacement of said street light standards as
23 described above.
24 This resolution was adopted by at least five (5) affirm-
25 ative votes of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a
26 regular meeting held on the llth,day of September, 1962, by the
27 . following vote, to wit:
28 AYES, COUNCIL1\2NIStoddard, Gruber, Cook,
