RESOLUTION NO. 5679
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING AREA
WHEREAS, Section 3272 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
provides that the City Council may by resolution establish no parking
areas and, when appropriate signs or markings are in place, no person
shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in the no parking area so estab-
lished; and
WHEREAS, the area of Newport Shores Drive on both sides of
the street between 61st Street and Orange Avenue is an area where
parking should be prohibited in order to facilitate the flow of traf-
fic and eliminate traffic hazards;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that both sides of Newport
Shores Drive from 61st Street to Orange Avenue are hereby designated
as a no parking area.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city traffic engineer is
authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said area to
indicate parking is prohibited.
ADOPTED this 29th day of October ), 1962.
