RESOLUTION NO, S �. 9 I
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH SUSPENDING THE OPERATION OF CERTAIN
PARKING METERS
Section 3291.1 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that the City Council may suspend the operation of
certain parking meters by resolution for a period of time speci-
fied in such resolution; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5615 creates certain off- street
parking meter zones and establishes the time of operation of park-
ing meters within said zones; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the opera-
tion of parking meters in the City which are now in operation
pursuant to the Municipal Code and said Resolution No. 5615 is not
necessary for the regulation of traffic and parking from December
13, 1962, though December 25, 1962;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the operation of all
parking meters which would otherwise be operative from December 13,
1962, throLgh December 25, 1962, is hereby suspended for that
period of time.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no fees shall be required for
parking in said parking meter zones during those days.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on December 26, 1962, and
after, all parking meters shall be in operation as designated in
Municipal Code and Resolution No. 5615.
ADOPTED this 10th day of December, 1962.
