RESOLUTION NO. 5743
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING PLAN CHECKING AND
INSPECTION FEES FOR SUBDIVISION,IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, Section 9255.13 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that costs of plan checking and inspection of subdi-
vision improvements shall be paid by the subdivider in accordance
with a schedule of fees adopted by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach resolves and orders:
Section 1. That the following schedule for plan checking
and inspection fees is hereby adopted-
Estimated Cost of Project
Up to $25,000
$25,000 to $100,000
Fee
3 1/2% with $100 minimum.
$875, plus 3% of the excess
over $25,000
Over $100,000 $3,125, plus 2 1/2% of the
excess over $100,000
Section 2. That the Public Works Director, with the
written approval of the City Manager, may waive such portion of
said fee as may appear equitable under the circumstances where
arrangements have been made for private inspections of the project
by a qualified independent consultant and for adequate written
reports of said inspections.
