RESOLUTION NO. 5885
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH FINDING AND DECLARING WHETHER A
3 MAJORITY - PROTEST HAS BEEN MADE BY THE PROPERTY
OWNERS AT THE HEARING ON THE ANNEXATION OF THE
4 TERRITORY KNOWN AS. "ANNEXATION NO. 54"

6 WHEREAS, proceedings have been initiated to annex to the
7 City certain territory designated as "Annexation No. 54 "; and
8 WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 5864
9 describing the boundaries thereof, designating the territory by a
10 name, and setting Tuesday, the 12th day of November, 1963, at 7 :30
11 P. M. on said day, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 3300
12 Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, California, as the time and place
13 for the City Council to hear written protests against the
14 annexation by persons owning real property within said territory;
15 and
16 WHEREAS, said resolution was published, posted, and dis-
17 tributed as required by law and said hearing was held in accordance
18 with the notice thereof and finally adjourned on November 12, 1963,
19 and the City Council heard and passed upon all protests so made;
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
21 hereby finds and declares that a majority protest was not made
22 against the annexation to the City of Newport Beach of the territor
23 designated as "Annexation No. 54 ".
