2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING AREA

4 WHEREAS, Section 3272 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
5 provides that the City Council may by resolution establish no park -
6 ing areas and, when appropriate signs or markings are in place, no
7 person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in the no parking area
8 so established; and
9 WHEREAS, the easterly side of Irvine Avenue between
10 Westcliff Drive and a point 750 feet northerly is an area where
11 parking should be prohibited in order to facilitate the flow of
12 traffic and eliminate traffic hazards;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the easterly side of
14 Irvine Avenue between Westcliff Drive and a point 750 feet north -
15 etly is hereby designated as a no parking area.
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city traffic engineer is
17 authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said area to
18 indicate parking is prohibited.
19 ADOPTED this 9th day of ��December, 1963.
