Section 3272 of
the Newport Beach Municipal Code

provides that the
City Council may
by resolution establish no
61 parking areas and, when appropriate signs or markings are in place,
7 no person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle in the no parking
8 area so established; and
9 Jj7JMRi?AS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code provides that
10 local authorities may by resolution prohibit the parking of vehicles
11 on a state highway if such resolution is first submitted to and
12 approved by the Department of Public Uorks; and
13 T-T-=UAS, the area of Pacific Coast rlighway on both sides
14 of the street between Bayside Drive and Malabar give is an area
15 Inhere parking should be prohibited from April 1% 1965, to April 19,
16 1965, in order to facilitate the flow of traffic and eliminate
17 traffic hazards;
18 NOU. TMEZZ,^,OR3. BE IT RESOLV3D that both sides of Pacific
19 Coast Highway between Bayside Drive and Malabar Drive are hereby
20 designated as no parking areas from April 13, 1965, to April 19,
21 1965.

23 is subject to the approval in writing of the Department of Public
24 dJorks of the State of California and that upon receiving such urit0
25 ten approval the city traffic engineer is authorized and directed
26 to appropriately sign and mark said areas to indicate that parking
27 is prohibited as provided in Section 3272 of the Newport Beach
28 1�,uniciprl Code.
