1 RESOLUTION N0. 6127
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF
3 LANDSCAPING AND A SPRINKLING SYSTEM.FOR.THE
NEWPORT BOULEVARD- BALBOA- BOULEVARD PARKING LOT
4 BY,CITY EMPLOYEES

6 WHEREAS, in connection with the construction of the pro-
7 posed parking lot to be located between 26th and 23rd Streets and
8 between Newport and Balboa Boulevards, it is necessary that the
9 City install landscaping and a sprinkling system for said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, it is necessary that the work be completed as
11 quickly and efficiently as possible; and
12 WHEREAS, the cost of the improvement exceeds the stmt of
13 $3,000; and
14 WHEREAS, based upon estimates approved by the City Man -
15 ager, it appears that the work in question can be performed and
16 completed more economically by the City with its own employees;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
18 declare and determine that in its opinion, based upon estimates
19 approved by the City Manager, the work hereinabove described may be
20 performed more economically by the City with its own employees.
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works
22 is authorized and directed to proceed with and complete said work
23 consisting of the installation of landscaping and a sprinkling
24 system as described above.
25 This resolution was adopted by at least five (5) affirm -
26 ative votes of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a
27 regular meeting held on the 12th day of April, 1965, by the
28 following vote, to wit:
29 AYES, COUNCILMEN: Stoddard, Forgit,
30 Gruber, Marshall, Parsons

Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records of the
City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office, the foregoing
Resolution No. 6127 was duly and regularly
adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the
regular meeting place thereof, on the 12th day of April ,
1965 , by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Stoddard, Forgit, Gruber, Marshall,
Parsons
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSTAINED FROM VOTING: Cook, Elder
