A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH PROVIDING FOR PAPtYdNG PASSES AND

ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE USE OF THE 26TH STREET

Vr2laEAS, the City maintains a parking lot located between

26th and 23rd Streets and between Newport and Balboa Boulevards,
7
hereinafter referred to as the 26th Street Parking Lot; and

GI-u°.R Z S, the City Council finds that parking passes

should be provided and parking fees should be charged for the use
10
of said lot as hereinafter provided;

NCF43 THERZFORZ: BE IT RESOLVED:

1. Parking control shall be maintained on the 26th
13
Street Parking Lot and a daily parking fee shall be charged for
14
the use of such lot on the following basis:
15
(a) The City Manager shall establish the control
16
and begin charging the fees established herein effective
17
immediately following the adoption of this resolution and
18
shall maintain the control and require payment of parking
19
fees on such days that he determines that there is a need
20
for control on the lot and a sufficient demand for parking
21
to justify operation of the automatic parking gate.

(b) Each day parking control is maintained on the
23
26th Street Parking Lot the parking fee for each vehicle
24
shall be $.50 per day on weekdays and $1.00 per day on Satur-
25
days, Sundays and holidays.

(c) The City Kanager shall be authorized to waive
27
the fees established herein when a special event is being
28
held of a charitable or civic nature and it is in the best
29
interests of the City and the general public that fees not
• 30
be charged for the use of the par'Ang lot in connection with
31
said special event.

2. Quarterly vehicle passes permitting the use of the
26th Street Parking Lot are hereby established and shall be made
available for sale to the public during each calendar year. The
fee for the pass shall be $15.00 per quarter per vehicle. The
charge for any pass issued after the commencement of any quarter
shall be reduced in the amount of $5.00 for each full month which
has elapsed during any such quarter. The pass referred to shall
be designed in such a manner that it may be inserted in a slot in
the automatic parking gate at the entrance to said lot in order to
actuate said gate. The possession of a parking pass shall not
establish any priority for parking space. Such passes shall be
sold only in the Finance Department of the City Ball during regular
office hours.

City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office, the foregoing
Resolution No. 6172 was duly and regularly
adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the
regular meeting place thereof, on the 28th day of June
19 65 by the following vote, to wit:
