2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
3 PUBLICATION OF LEGAL NOTICES AND OTHER MATTER
AND DESIGNATING AN OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER FOR
4 PUBLICATION OF NOTICES. .

6 WHEREAS, Section 419 of the City Charter provides that
7 the City Council shall publish a notice inviting bids and contract
8 for the publication of legal notices and other matter required to
9 be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City
10 during the ensuing fiscal year; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council has published such notice and
12 bids have been received in accordance therewith; and
13 WHEREAS. the City Council has analyzed said bids and
14 determined to malts the award as hereinafter provided;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of The
16 Newnort Harbor Ensign be accepted and that the
17 Mayor and City Clerk be and hereby are authorized and directed to
18 execute a contract in accordance with this award for the fiscal year
19 beginning July 1, 1965,
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ThE. Neumort Aarhnr
21 Ensign ' is hereby designated the official news-
22 paper for the publication of legal notices and other matter required
23 to be published for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1965.
24 ADOPTED this 28th day of June, 1965.
