RESOLUTION N0. 6226.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6083 TO
CHANGE THE NAME OF THE FINE.ARTS COMMITTEE TO
THE NEWPORT BEACH CITY ARTS COMITTEE.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6083 adopted December 28, 1964,
the City Council continued the Fine Arts Committee established by
Resolution No. 5526, described its powers and duties, and made
certain revisions in the organization of said committee; and
WHEREAS, the Fine Arts Committee has requested the City
Council to change the name of the committee to the Newport Beach
City Arts Committee to eliminate the continued confusion that
exists between it and the Fine Arts Patrons because of the name
similarity; and
F3HEREAS, the City Council has considered said request
and has determined that the change of name is desirable and in the
best interests of the City of Newport Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 6083
be amended to change the name of the Fine Arts Committee to the
Newport Beach City Arts Committee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in all other respects said
resolution shall continue in full force and effect.
ADOPTED this 27th day of September, 1965.

Resolution No. 6226 was duly and regularly
adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the
regular meeting place thereof, on the 27th day of September
19 65 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Stoddard, Forgit, Cook, Gruber,
Elder, Marshall, Parsons
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
