31 II-HICH VEHICLES ARE RECOIRED TO STOP

51 WHEREAS, Section 3251 of the Newport 3each Municipal Code
6 provides that whenever an ordinance or resolution designates and
7 describes an intersection at which vehicles are required to stop
8 at one or more entrances thereto, the city traffic engineer shall
9 erect stop signs and every driver of vehicles shall stop at such
10 intersection; and
11 WEEREAS, the following described intersection should be
12 designated as an intersection where vehicles are required to stop
13 at one or more entrances thereto as hereinafter provided;
14 NOW, TnEasrm. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
15 the City of Newport Beach that the intersection of Superior Avenue
16 and Placentia Avenue is hereby designated as an intersection where
17 vehicles are required to stop at the following entrances thereto:
18 1. At each entrance to Placentia Avenue.
19 2. At the entrance to Superior Avenue for north
bound traffic only.
