A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING AND SUBMITTING A SUPPLE-

MENTAL PROTECT STATEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS
ALLbCATED FROM THE STATE HIGHWAY FUND TO CITIES

WHEREAS, a Master Agreement for the Budgeting and

Expenditure of funds Allocated from the State Highway Fund to
5
Cities has been entered into by the City of Newport Beach, here-
6
inafter referred to as the City, and the State Department of
7
Public Works, Division of Highways, hereinafter referred to as
8
the Department; and
9
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6210 a budget proposal show -
10
ing estimated expenditures of such funds recommended to be made
11
during the 1965 -66 fiscal year was adopted in August, 1965, which
12
it is now necessary to supplement; and
13
WHEREAS, the City Council has prepared a supplemental
14
project statement showing estimated additional expenditures of
15
such funds to be made during the 1965 -66 fiscal year; and
16
WHEREAS, the City Council has heard read said supple -
17
mental project statement and is familiar with the contents thereof
18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
19
the City of Newport Beach that said supplemental project state -
20
ment be and it is hereby approved and adopted as an addition to
21
previously approved budgeted funds of the gas tax allocation to
22
cities, and the Public Works Director is directed to sign the
23
same on behalf of said City and submit it to the Department of
24
Public Works, State of California, in accordance with the pro-

visions of Section 197 of the Streets and Highways Code.

ADOPTED this 27th day of December, 1965.
