A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING TEMPORARY ONE -WAY
3
STREETS DURING.THE EASTER VACATION PERIOD

WHEREAS, Section 3249 of the Newport Beach Municipal
5
Code provides that whenever any resolution of this city designates
6
any one -way street the city traffic engineer shall place and main -
7
tain signs giving notice thereof, and Section 3250 of the Muni -
8
cipal Code provides that when signs are erected on any one -way
9
street giving notice thereof, no person shall drive, or park,
10
any vehicle in a direction contrary thereto; and
11
IrTHEREAS, certain streets hereinafter described are
12
streets which should be designated as one -way streets from April 1
13
1966, to April 11, 1966, in order to facilitate the flow of
14
traffic and eliminate traffic hazards during the Easter Vacation
1511 period;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following- descri
17 streets are hereby designated as one -way streets from April 1,
18 1966, to April 11, 1966, as indicated:
19 Washington Street between Ocean Front and Balboa
20 Boulevard, south bound traffic only.
Main Street between Ocean Front and Balboa Boule-
21 vard, north bound traffic only.
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city traffic engineer
23 is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
24 streets to indicate the above designations.
25 ADOPTED this 28th day of March, 1966.
