RESOLUTION SOLUTION NUJ. 6328
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NL77PORT BEACH DESIGNATING A ONF. -IJAY STREET
G,M, REAS, Section 3249 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that whenever any resolution of this city designates
any one-way street the city traffic engineer shall place and
maintain signs giving notice thereof, and Section 3250 of the
Municipal Code provides that when signs are erected on any
one -way street giving notice thereof, no person shall drive, or
park, any vehicle in a direction contrary thereto; and
0112REAS, the street hereinafter described is a street
which should be designated as a one-way street in order to facil-
itate the flow of traffic and eliminate traffic hazards;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Washington Street
between Ocean Front and Balboa Boulevard is designated as a
one -way street for north bound traffic only.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city traffic engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
street to indicate the above designation.
ADOPTED this 11th day of April, 1966.
