RESOLUTION NO. 6391

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HE RORT BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO GRANT

WO NON - EXCLUSIVE, CITY-1WIiDE YMNCHISES FO THE

WITHIN.THE CITY

-WHEREAS, the City Council has received proposals from
6
Community Cablevision Company and Warner Bros., T. V. Services,
7
Inc. for the operation of community antenna television systems
8
within the City of Newport Beach; and
9
tanlUMAS, said proposals have been reviewed and found
10
to be in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 9.5 of
11
Article VI of the Newport Beach Municipal Code regulating the
12
installation and operation of such systems within the City; and
13
GMREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to
14
grant to %7arner Bros., T. V. Services, Inc. and Community Cable -
15
vision Company non - exclusive, city -wide franchises for the oper-
16
ation of community antenna television systems for terms of fifteen
17
(15) years;

NO &Y, THi:M00RE0 BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

1. A public hearing will be held July 11, 1966 at
20
7 :30 p.m. in the City Council chambers, City Hall, 3300 Guest New -
21
port Boulevard, Newport Beach, at which time any person having any
22
interest in said franchises or any objection to the granting
23
thereof may appear before the City Council and be heard. thereon.

2. At said public hearing, the City Council shall pro -
25
ceed to hear and pass upon all protests and shall thereafter,
26
good cause appearing therefor, grant said franchises subject to
27
the conditions and requirements provided in Chapter 9.5 of Article
28
VI of the Newport Beach Municipal Code.

3. The City Clerk is directed to publish this resolu-
30
tion at least - office within fifteen (15) days of its passage in the
31
official newspaper of the City.
