THE YNTE SP.CTZCN OF NMPROdT BO€JLEVL�.P>O AMD PACIFIC COAST HIGI -TvZY L ^_NDU ON A PO3TION OF SAID NIGMr'AY AND RLSOLJTION NO. 5083 TJ'Id i S, Section 3272 of the Newport Beach municipal Code provides that the city traffic engineer shall sign or mark any place where he determines it is necessary to prohibit parking in order to eliminate an unusual traffic hazard, and when so sib or masked no person shall park a vehicle at any such place; anE M11MIZAS, ;Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code provides -,be local authorities may by resolution prohibit the parking of vehicle on a state highs =gay if such resolution is first submitted to M . approved in writing by the Department of Public FYorks9 and ejE„r'�,RZAS, the District Engineer of the Division of High- UM ways has suggested that the City Council prohibit parking along both sides of the southeast ramp at the intersection of P3ewport Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway and along the south side of Pacific Coast Highway easterly of said ramp between State 'highway Stations 740 + 69.4 and 744 + 37.09 and 1'T ZS, the city traffic engineer has recommended this prohibition in order to eliminate an unusual traffic hazard, NOUN ME C=. BE IT &ESCL-CM that parking be prohiba iced on both sides of the southeast ramp at the intersection of Newport Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway and along the south side of Pacific Coast Highway easterly of said ramp between State Highway Stations 740 + 69.4 and 744 + 37.0. BE IT FUaTM.1 PZSOLVgL that the traffic engineer be authorized and directed to sign and mark said area indicating that parking is nrohibited as provided in Section 3272 of the Newport Beach Kunicipal Code.
