HomeMy WebLinkAbout6441 - Special Municipal Election 11-8-66MQ THS :mec 8/30/66 RESOLUTION NO. 6441 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE WRITTEN ARGUMENTS FOR A CITY MEASURE WHEREAS, a special municipal election consolidated with the statewide general election is to be held in the City of Newport Beach on November 8, 1966, at which there will be sub- mitted to the qualified electors of said city the following city measure: PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT: Shall the Charter be amended to add Section 1402(e.) to permit the City Council to sell and convey that parcel of City property fronting on Newport Bay lying easterly of Newport Boulevard and southerly of 26th Street, being a portion of Lot 2 in Section 33, Township 6 South, Range 10 West, of the San Bernardino meridian, lying northeasterly of the north- easterly line of Blocks 222 and 223 in Section A, Newport Beach, as per map recorded in Book 4, page 21, of Miscel- laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California? NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California, does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows: Section 1, That this City Council, being the legis- lative body of the City of Newport Beach, hereby authorizes Councilmen Rogers, parsons. M r h 7L (:ruher, Coo, For¢it and Shelton. , members of said body, to file written arguments for the city measure set forth in the recital hereof in accordance with Arti- cle 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change said arguments until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said city measure may be submitted to her.
