5 I.1HEREAS, R. L. Patterson has recently resigned as a
6 Director of the Coastal Municipal Water District; and
711 Ud"MJ8. P rr. Patterson has served on said Board of Direc-
8 tors for a period of more than sixteen years and was serving as
9 President of the Board at the time of has resignation; and
10 TUMMAS, vMr. Patterson made an invaluable contribution
11 to the work of said Board of Directors by virtue of his exceptional
12 11 abilities as an engineer and through his extensive knowledge of
1311 the historical development of the area he served;
14 NOW0 TIIiPUEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
15 the City of Newport Beach wishes to highly commend R. L, Patterson
16 for has distinguished service to this community as a member of the
17 Board of Directors of the Coastal Ylun.capal F�Tater Distract.
