RESOLUTION NO. 6475
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY KNOWN AS
ANNEXATION N0, 58
WHEREAS, on November 28, 1966, the City Council received
a written petition requesting annexation to the City of certain
uninhabited territory contiguous to the City, signed by the owners
of all of said territory; and
WHEREAS, on November 28, 1966, the City Council adopted
Resolution No, 6473 giving notice of a proposed annexation desig-
nated as Annexation No. 58 pursuant to the provisions of Title 4,
Division 2, Article 5, of the California Government Code, known
as the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 "; and
WHEREAS, said resolution set Monday, the 12th day of
December, 1966, at the hour of 7-.30 P.M., in the Council Chamber
of the City Hall, as the time and place for the City Council to
hear and pass upon all protests from any owner of property within
the City who does not also own property in the territory proposed
to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was duly published in
the official newspaper of the City at least four days before the
date set for said hearing; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held by the City Council on
December 12, 1966, at the appointed time and place; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the necessary proceedings re-
lating to the annexation of said territory have been conducted
in accordance with the requirements of the Annexation of Uninhab-
ited Territory Act of 1939;
follows-.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council hereby resolves as
1, The annexation to the City of Newport Beach, Cal-
ifornia, of that certain territory designated as Annexation No.
58 is hereby approved. Said property is more particularly
described as follows-
Portions of Lot 169, Block 2 and Lot 1729 Block l of
Irvine °s Subdivision, as shown on a Map thereof, Recorded
in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous Record Maps, Records
of Orange County, California, more particularly described
as follows-
BEGINNING at the centerline intersection of Superior. Avenue
and Placentia Avenue, as shown on a Map of Tract No, 4692,
Recorded in Book 164, pages 22 through 25 inclusive of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County; thence
South 39° 59° 41' West along the said centerline of Superior
Avenue, a distance of 33,88 feet to a point in a line
parallel with and 30000 feet Southwesterly of the said
centerline of Placentia Avenue, said parallel line being
the existing boundary line of the City of Newport Beach
known as "First Addition To Superior Avenue Annexation ",
annexed to the City of Newport Beach, January 2, 1962, as
per Ordinance No, 979, said point being the True Point of
Beginning of this description; thence South 22° 18' 09"
East along the said City boundary line, a distance of 777.91
feet to an angle point to an intersection with the boundary
line known as "The Presbyterian Hospital Of Orange County
Annexation ", annexed to the City of Newport Beach, July 3,
1947, by Ordinance No, 558; thence North 89° 45° 35f° West
along the said boundary line, a distance of 232.24 feet;
thence departing from the said City Boundary line North
89° 45° 35" West along the Westerly prolongation of the
said City boundary line, a distance of 192075 feet; thence
North 50 00° 19" West, 362.00 feet to the said centerline
of Superior Avenue; thence North 39° 59` 411° East along
the said centerline of Superior Avenue, a distance of 633042
feet to the True Point of Beginning of this description.
2, The boundaries of the City of Newport Beach beg
and the same are hereby, altered to include the territory de-
scribed herein.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a certi-
fied copy of this resolution with the Secretary of State,
4, Upon receipt of the certificate of the Secretary
of State certifying that this resolution has been filed in his
office, the City Clerk shall file the affidavit required by
Government Code Section 34080 with the County Recorder. Said
affidavit shall state that all requirements of law pertaining to
the annexation proceeding described herein have been complied
with and shall have attached to it the certificate of the Secre-
tary of State certifying that this resolution has been filed in
his office and the date of filing thereof.

5. Upon receipt of the certificate of the Secretary
of State referred to above, the City Clerk shall file with the
Assessor of Orange County and the State Board of Equalization
the statement required by Government Code Section 54900 setting
forth the fact that the City's boundaries have been changed by
• said Annexation No. 58, together with a legal description of the
territory annexed and a map or plat indicating the boundaries.
ADOPTED this 12th day of December, 1966.

City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office, the foregoing
Resolution No. 6475 was duly and regularly.adopted,
passed, and approved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the
regular meting place thereof, on the 12th day of December
1966, by the following vote, to wit:
