RESOLUTION N0, 6727
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING THAT A.MAJORITY PROTEST
HAS NOT BEEN MADE.TO.THE.PROPOSED.ANNEXATION OF
UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY KNOWN AS MODEN ANNEX-
ATION NO. 59 TO- THE.CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6709, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach declared its intention to call a special
election to be held on the 18th day of June, 1968 in certain
inhabited territory contiguous to said city proposed to be
annexed to said city for the purpose of submitting to the quali-
fied electors residing in said territory the question whether or
not said territory shall be annexed to said city; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6709 the City Council also
fixed the date of March 25, 1968 at the hour of 7.30 P.M. in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Newport Beach as
the time and place when and where any person owning real property
within such territory may appear before said City Council and show
cause why such territory should not be annexed; and
WHEREAS, a copy of Resolution No. 6709 was published as
required by law; and
WHEREAS, all proceedings have been had in accordance
with said Resolution No. 6709 and the State Annexation Act of 19139
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that at the time and date
set by said Resolution No. 6709 for hearing objections written or
oral, protests were not made by the owners of more than one -half
of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed.

duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council
held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 25th day of March , 1968
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Rogers, Parsons, Marshall, Gruber, Cook,
Forgit, Shelton
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
