A RESOLUTION OF TIM CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE FMCUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT FOR CONTRIBUTION OF COSTS 32D)JE,EN
COUNTY OF ORANGE AND CITY OF NEiPORIT BEACHr
BEACH EROSION CONTROL PROJECT, STAGE 2
1,MEREAS2 there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement between the
County of Orange and the City under which the City agrees to pay
to the County the sum of $12,550, which represents the Cityls
contribution towards the cost of the Stage 2 Construction of the
Beach Erosion Control Project which included the construction of
a 200-foot groin at the extension of 40th Street, Newport Beach,
and the placement of 410,000 cubic yards of sand on the beaches
adjacent to the groin; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms and
con tjons of said agreement and found them to be reasonable and
equitable, with the provision that such payment shell be made
after July 1, 1968;
NOGi, THEit FCRE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement is
approved and the Hayor and City Cleric are hereby authorized and
directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport
Beach.
ADOPTED this 25th day of March , 1968.
