RESOLUTION NO. 6753
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO -THE
CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS
TO THE -CITY OF NEWPORT.BEACH.AND.KNOWN AS UPPER
HARBOR VIEW HILLS ANNEXATION NO, 61
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the
Legislature of the State of California known as the "Annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 ", the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach on April 8, 1968 adopted Resolution No. 6749
giving notice of the initiation of proceedings for the annexation
of certain uninhabited territory contiguous t6 the City of Newport
Beach and designated as Upper Harbor View Hills Annexation No. 61,
which is hereinafter more particularly described; and
WHEREAS, prior to the adoption of said resolution the
owners of all of the land in the territory proposed to be annexed
filed written consent to this annexation with the City Clerk of
the City of Newport Beach and the owners of more than two - thirds of
the value of the land in the territory to be annexed have filed
written consent with the City Clerk stating that said territory may
be subjected to taxation after annexation equally with other property
in the City of Newport Beach to pay any indebtedness and liabilities
of the City outstanding, contracted, authorized, or existing prior
to or at the time of said annexation; and
WHEREAS, said resolution set Monday, the 22nd 'day of
April, 1968, at 7<30 P.M. on said day, in the Council Chamber of
the City Hall, as the time and place for the City,Council to hear
protests against said annexation from any owner of property within
the City who does not also own property in the territory to be
annexed; and
WHEREAS, a copy of said resolution was published as
required by law; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was opened on April 22, 1968 and
was thereafter adjourned on April 22, 1968; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the necessary proceedings re-
lating to annexation have been conducted strictly in accordance
with the requirements of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939;
• NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council hereby resolves as
follows:
1. The annexation to the City of Newport Beach, Cali-
fornia, of that certain uninhabited territory contiguous to said
City, known as Upper Harbor View Hills Annexation No. 61, is
hereby approved. Said property is more particularly described
as follows:
That portion of Blocks 91 and 92 of Irvine's Subdivision, in the
County of Orange., State of California, as shown on a map filed
in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous Record Maps in the office of
the County Recorder of said County, described as follows-
Commencing at the most Northerly corner of said Block 92;
thence South 40° 368 5411 West along the Northwesterly line of
said Block 1356.30 feet.to the center line of MacArthur Boule-
vard, 100.00 feet in width, as described in a deed recorded in
Book 1047, page 557 of Official Records of said County; thence
South 11° 478 55" East along said center line 416.15 feet; thence
South 83° 268 30 East leaving said center line 52.68 feet to
the Easterly right of way line of said MacArthur Boulevard and
a point in the boundary of the City of Newport Beach as
established by Ordinance Number 999, said point being the True
Point of Beginning; - thence South 11° 478 55" East along said
boundary 1619.87 feet to the beginning of a curve therein con-
cave Westerly having a radius of 2050.00 feet; thence Southerly
1240.37 feet along said curve throu�h an angle of 34° 408 04"
to a radial that bears South 67° 43 5111 East to said curve;
thence leaving said boundary South 60° 268 00" East 523.98 feet -
thence North 55° 028 00" East 410.00 feet; thence South 440 03�
00" East 1200.00 feet; .thence South 690 348 00" East 575.00
feet to a point on a non - tangent curve concave Northwesterly
having a radius of 4000.00 feet, a radial to said point bears
South 55° 57° 27" East; thence Northeasterly 284.97 feet along
said curve through an angle of 40 048 56 "; thence North 29° 578
37" East 1703.92 feet to the beginning of a curve concave
Northwesterly having a radius of 2000.00 feet; thence Northerly
1648.98 feet along said curve through an angle of 47° 148 23 ";
thence North 170 168 46" West 35.21 feet to a point on a
non - tangent curve concave Northerly having a radius of 2000.00
feet, a radial to said point bears South'17® 168 46" East;
thence Westerly 1407.39 feet along said curve through an angle
of 40° 198 08 "; thence North 66° 578 38" West 134.74 feet to
the beginning -of a curve concave Southerly having a radius of
4000.00 feet; thence Westerly 1150.62 feet along said curve
through an angle of 16° 28® 53 "; thence North 83° 26® 31"
West 952.27 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
2. The property in the aforesaid "Upper Harbor View Hills
Annexation No. 61" shall be subjected to taxation after annexation
equally with property within the City of Newport Beach to pay any

indebtedness and liabilities of the City of Newport Beach outstanding,
contracted, authorized, or existing prior to or at the time of
annexation.
3. The boundaries of the City of Newport Beach, Cali-
fornia, be, and the same are hereby altered to include the territory
described herein, the annexation of which is approved herein, and
incorporated in the City of Newport Beach, California.
4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a certi-
fied copy of this resolution with the Secretary of State.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of April, 1968.

held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 22nd day of April 1968,
