RESOLUTION NO. 6766
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING A ONE -WAY STREET.
1°3IEREAS, Section 12.52.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that whenever any resolution of this City
designates any one -way street the City Traffic Engineer shall
place and maintain signs giving notice thereof,'and Section
12.52.020 of the Municipal Code provides that when signs are
erected on any one -way street giving notice thereof, no person
shall drive, or park, any vehicle in a direction contrary thereto;
and
WHEREAS, the street hereinafter described is a street
which should be designated as a one -way street in order to facil-
itate the flow of traffic and eliminate traffic hazards;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Abalone Place
between Crystal Avenue and Abalone Avenue is designated as a
one -way street for westbound traffic only.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
street to indicate the above designation.
ADOPTED this 13th day of May , 1968.
