RESOLUTION NO. 6786
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.AWARDINO A CONTRACT FOR THE
IMPROVEMENT OF IRVINE /TUSTIN AVENUE FROM 22ND
STREET. TO UNIVERSITY DRIVE, AND.THE IMPROVE-
MENT OF.23RD STREET FROM IRVINE AVENUE TO
TUSTIN AVENUE .(CONTRACT 110..1112)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work consisting of the improvement of Irvine /Tustin Avenue
from 22nd Street to University Drive; and the improvement of
23rd Street from Irvine Avenue to Tustin Avenue, in the City
of Newport Beach, in accordance with the plans and specifications
heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 4th day of June,
1968, and publicly opened and declared; and
6R EREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Marie Construction Co., Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Mark
Construction Co., Inc. for the work in the amount of $285,718.66
be accepted and that the contract for the construction work be
awarded to said bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on be-
half of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be
directed to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.

duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council
held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 10th day of June 1968,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: McInnis, Shelton, Marshall, Rogers, Hirth
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Gruber, Parsons
