RESOLUTION NO. 6789
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF
SUBSECTION A OF SECTION VI OF RESOLUTION NO.
5289 RELATING TO ACCUMULATION OF VACATION LEAVE
WHEREAS, Section VI of Resolution No. 5289 sets out
leaves of absence provisions, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that sub-
paragraph f of paragraph 1 of subsection A of said Section VI
relating to accumulation of vacation leave be amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective July 1,
1968, subparagraph f of paragraph 1 of subsection A of Section
VI of Resolution No. 5289 is amended to read;
"f. Accumulation of Vacation Leave Accumulation of
vacation days in excess oF those earned for one year of
service is allowed only with the approval of the
department head. In no case shall accumulation over
that earned for a two -year period be carried beyond
December 31 of each year."
ADOPTED thisloth day of June, 1968.
