RESOLUTION NO. 6808
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH OPPOSING THE FORMATION OF A NEW
SANTA ANA HEIGHTS WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has received notice
of application for the formation of the proposed Santa Ana Heights
Water District; and
WHEREAS, a large portion of said proposed district is
within the existing City limits of the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach already has existing
water mains in the proposed district and is capable of providing
domestic water service to those portions within its City limits;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is opposed to the
creation of any new special purpose districts within its City
limits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
urges the County of Orange Local Agency Formation Commission to
deny the application of Santa Ana Heights Mutual Water Company
to form the new Santa Ana Heights Water District.
ADOPTED this 25th day of June `, 1968.

filed and maintained in my office, the foregoing Resolution No. 6808 was
duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council
held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 25th day of June 1968,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: McInnis, Shelton, Marshall, Rogers, Hirth, Gruber
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Parsons
