RESOLUTION N0. 6892
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEBiPORT BEACH REQUESTING TEMPORARY PUBLIC
ROAD CONNECTION TO MAC ARTHUR BOULEVARD, A
DECLARED FREEWAY, AT HARBOR VIEW DRIVE
WHEREAS, MacArthur Boulevard was declared a freeway by
action of the California Highway Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to establish Harbor View Drive
as a temporary public road connection to MacArthur Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain approval of the
California Highway Commission for a public road connection to a
declared freeway;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the California Highway Commission
is hereby requested to grant a 64-foot wide temporary public road
connection to MacArthur Boulevard, State Highway Route 73, on the
easterly side thereof at approximately State Highway Engineer's
Station 07- ORA- 73 -0.2. Such public road connection is understood
to be a connection to the existing roadway only and does not imply
connection to the Corona Del Mar Freeway which is to be constructs
and said temporary connection will be subject to the terms and
conditions of the freeway agreement to be negotiated between the
City and the State.
