A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
• RECONSTRUCTION OF NEWPORT ISLAND BRIDGE,
CONTRACT NO. 1175
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work in connection with the reconstruction of Newport Island
Bridge, in accordance with the plans and specifications hereto-
fore adopted, bids were received on the 22nd day of April,
1969, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest reponsible bidder
therefor is CROFT & NEVILLE CO.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of CROFT
& NEVILLE CO. for the work in the amount of $124,302.34 be
accepted and that the contract for the construction work be
awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on
behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk
be directed to furnish an executed copy to the successful
bidder.
ADOPTED this 28th day of April, 1969.
