A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
COOPERATIVE FINANCING AGREEMENT WITH THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND
SAFETY LIGHTING AT TUSTIN AVENUE AND UNIVERSITY
DRIVE
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a cooperative financing agreement
with the County of Orange for the construction, mintenance and
operation of a traffic signal and safety lighting at Tustin
Avenue and University Drive; said agreement being supplemental
to that agreement dated September 19, 1967, entered into between
the City of Newport Beach and the County of Orange, providing for
the construction of certain improvements on a portion of Tustin
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms
and conditions of said agreement and found them to be fair and
equitable, and it is in the interests of the City to execute the
same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said cooperative financing agree-
ment for a traffic signal and safety lighting at Tustin Avenue
and University Drive be approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 28th day of July, 1969.
