A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING A NAME FOR THE
STREET IN NEWPORT CENTER HERETOFORE REFERRED
TO AS "G" STREET
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
Beach has recommended to the City Council the designation of a
name for the street in Newport Center,heretofore referred to as
"Gay Street, in the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, Section 34091.1 of the Government Code of the
State of California authorizes the legislative body to designate
a name for any city street by adoption of a resolution; and
WHEREAS, after consideration of said recommendation it
appears that it would be in the interests of the City and con-
venient to the public to designate a name for the street in said
location as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the street as shown on the drawing
designated "NEW STREET NAME 'CIVIC CENTER DRIVE'," a copy of
which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ", and by this
reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof, is designated
"Civic Center Drive."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed
to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of
Supervisors of Orange County in accordance with the provisions
of Section 34092 of the Government Code.
ADOPTED this 28th day of July, 1969.
