A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH REPEALING THE.PARKING TIME
LIMIT ON A PORTION OF MARINE AVENUE
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.150 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that the City Council shall by resolution designate
streets or portions of streets on which the parking or standing
of vehicles is to be prohibited, and shall designate in the resolution
the days of the week and the exact hours during which such prohibition
shall be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the City Council had formerly designated a
one -hour parking time limit on certain portions of Marine Avenue,
including the following described location; and
WHEREAS, a recent reconstruction project at the southeast
corner of Marine and Park has resulted in a limited parking space
which can only accommodate very small vehicles; and
V?skIEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
reasonable and in the public interest to discontinue the one -hour
parking time limit now imposed in this unusual location;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach that the one -hour parking time limit on the
east side of Marine Avenue, starting at a point 60 feet south of
Park Avenue and extending to Park Avenue, be repealed.
ADOPTED this 13th day of October, 1969.
