3. BUDGET OVERVIEW AND FY 2013 -14 PROPOSED CIP (4:35 P.M.)
The City Manager, the Finance Director, and the Public Works Director will
give an overview of the City's proposed budget for the Fiscal Year that starts
July 1, 2013, continuing through June 30, 2014. This is the Council's and
the public's first formal review of the budget, so the City Manager will provide
a general overview of the current year's budget (FY 2012 -13) as well as key
recommendations within and the budget picture for both FY 2012 -13 and FY
2013 -14. The Public Works Director will provide a summary of the Capital
Improvement Program as proposed, with areas of focus including key
community projects like traffic management, neighborhood beautification and
new parks.
