A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
A GROUND LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH AND THE IRVINE COMPANY FOR A TEMPORARY
PUBLIC WORKS STORAGE YARD IN CORONA DEL MAR
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has negotiated
with The Irvine Company for a short term lease of a parcel of
property owned by The Irvine Company for use as an equipment
storage yard by contractors in connection with Public Works
contracts in the Corona Del Mar area; and
WHEREAS, a ground lease has been presented to the
City Council which provides that the City of Newport Beach as
Lessee will pay to The Irvine Company as Lessor all real estate
taxes levied upon or assessed against said parcel during the
term of the said lease, as rental for the use and occupancy of
said parcel of property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute the above described ground lease
on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 13th day of October, 1969.
