A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH PROHIBITING PARKING IN
CERTAIN AREAS AND ON CERTAIN DAYS IN CONNECTION
WITH THE STREET SWEEPING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.150 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that the City Council shall by resolution designate
streets or portions of streets on which the parking or standing of
vehicles is to be prohibited, and shall designate in the resolution
the days of the week and the exact hours during which such
prohibition shall be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
reasonable and in the public interest to prohibit parking of
vehicles at certain times and in certain areas of the City in order
to effectively operate the City street sweeping program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that parking of vehicles shall be pro-
hibited between Seashore Drive and Balboa Boulevard from the hours
of 9:00 a.m, to 12 :00 noon, on the following days and in the
following areas:
Wednesdays
33rd Street,
35th Street,
37th Street,
39th Street,
41st Street,
43rd Street,
45th Street,
47th Street,
west side
west side
east side
west side
east side
west side
west side
east side
Thursdays
34th Street,
36th Street,
38th Street,
40th Street,
42nd Street,
44th Street,
46th Street,
west side
east side
east side
west side
east side
west side
east side
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Director
shall notify the residents in the affected areas prior to imposing
the new parking regulations herein.
ADOPTED this 10th day of November, 1969.
